Greetings From Cheyenne

In Cheyenne, Family, Travel on July 6, 2010 at 10:55 am

This 4th of July, I was in Cheyenne, Wyoming, visiting my in-laws and enjoying the hospitality of the city.  Norm and I are here on vacation just to spend time with his parents, whom we don’t see enough.

As I’m typing this, I’m sitting in the brand new Cheyenne Public Library, a beautiful place to wander and to read.  I got the wi-fi day pass and the lady at the counter tentatively told me that it would cost me $1.00 for the day.  Apparently they get some pushback from people on that $1.00 fee.  I’m glad to pay it.  When I was last in Paris, the wi-fi fee was $30.00 so this is a bargain.  And it comes with free printing!

I love Cheyenne.  This is my 4th time here and the people are so nice.  It doesn’t have all of the amenities that I can get in a bigger city like Los Angeles, but they have a beautiful Wal-Mart, a nice mall, no rush hour that I’ve seen so far, and the skies are amazing.  Here’s a picture of the sunset on the 4th of July.

Signing off for the time being.  Have to go grab some lunch 🙂
